WRITER Enterprise Brain: Unifying Context Across AI Agents

Matan-Paul Shetrit, VP of Product at WRITER, details Enterprise Brain, a universal context layer uniting live business data, brand rules and AI agents

WRITER has unveiled its Enterprise Brain, which is a governed, universal context layer that captures an enterprise’s brand, institutional knowledge, decision logic and live business data.

The San Francisco startup has received backing from leading firms like Accenture, Adobe, Citi and Vanguard – the company has quickly scaled after its founding in 2020.

WRITER positions itself as a full-stack generative AI platform built for large businesses and regulated industries, designed for enterprise marketing and revenue teams.

Speaking about the new development, Matan-Paul Shetrit, VP of Product at WRITER, told AI Magazine: “Companies spend years learning what their customers care about, making hard decisions and figuring out how work gets done.

“But that context rarely travels across teams or agents. Enterprise Brain brings together everything a company knows about how it goes to market – and everything its teams learn as they work – and makes it available across every agent, workflow and team in real time. Everybody’s working from the same current understanding, and work becomes more informed, more consistent and more distinct.”

Enterprise Brain

Enterprise Brain is designed to sit beneath every agent, workflow and output on the WRITER platform, capturing go-to-market context and mapping the relationships between accounts, opportunities, audiences, products, campaigns, content and customer conversations.

“Every enterprise on earth can buy the same frontier AI from the labs, but generic intelligence creates generic companies, undifferentiated customer journeys and frustrated marketing and revenue teams,” says May Habib, Co-Founder and CEO of WRITER.

“Competitive advantage comes from everything you can’t buy off the shelf – the details only you know about your customers, the hard-won judgment that shapes how work gets done, how you win, how you differentiate, your core brand beliefs. With Enterprise Brain, agents and teams get the shared, real-time institutional intelligence and deep customer insights to deliver more revenue impact from every customer touchpoint.”

Breaking bottlenecks

According to Gartner, 90% of marketing and sales executives report their functional priorities conflict with one another. “It is clear that marketing and sales leaders’ partnership and coordination efforts are in shambles,” says Kristina LaRocca-Cerrone, Senior Director, Advisory in the Gartner Marketing Practice.

“Dysfunction is rampant, and they face decision-making bottlenecks and numerous roadblocks that lead to collaboration drag and hindered growth.”

WRITER highlights that many of today’s AI tools make this worse: point solutions automate single tasks while general-purpose AI chatbots isolate each team member, instead of helping teams work from the same understanding.

When companies add AI agents to marketing workflows without shared context, the work gets less consistent, less trustworthy and more generic, the firm argues.

Agent Memory

WRITER highlights that Enterprise Brain launches with Agent Memory, its new team-level memory layer, and an expanded brand and compliance layer that encodes and automatically applies company standards.

WRITER Agent Memory works across entire teams, capturing the decisions, ideas and preferences from sessions and conversations as they happen to create a transparent, traceable, team-level memory layer.

The company claims WRITER Agent can draw on that shared memory for every task, increasing the quality, accuracy and brand alignment of output across an organisation.

To capture and surface context in the live conversations where work happens, WRITER also launched WRITER Meet across Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, as well as WRITER for Slack and Microsoft Teams.

Key partners

WRITER claims to be trusted by world-class enterprises such as:

Qualcomm: “In the agentic era, the CMO now has to think like an architect,” says Don McGuire, EVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Qualcomm.

“We have to think about how we build a unified customer journey and make sure everything we’ve spent years building – our brand, our understanding of our customers, the way our teams work – doesn’t live in separate, vertical silos.

“That context has to cross-pollinate across marketing and sales and across every agent working on our behalf. That’s the beauty of a platform like WRITER that thinks about context at every single layer and across every touchpoint.”

As well as other firms such as Uber, Dropbox and American Eagle.
